Food festival ~!! Yum Yum !!

Went to food fair for the first time last week

It was held in PWTC .. There were super duper many people ..

1 particular section caught my eyes ..

which is the restaurant section ..

This is the entrance .. Took this while waiting for people ..

This is chinese birthday bun ..
We call them 'cheong sau bao'
Which means longetivity bun ..

This dish is made from chocolate ..
There's the snowman in the middle ..
and chocolate xmas tree circling the snowman

Next, this caught my attention ..
Can u guess wad is this ?
Its the chinese lion playing with the rattan ball

The reason why it caught my attention ..
Is that .. The ball is made from carrot ..
And the lions are made from yam ..

Foods that are arranged to look like a painting
using prawns and hams to resemble flowers
vege to act as the stem .. creative works ~


Now, this thing looks like a fish ..

but i've no idea whats inside ..

but using a salty egg yolk as the eye do looks scary

This time they carved the characters from 'Journey to the west'

At the back, there's the elephant ..

And the gold fishes in front .. All these are dim sum ..

its so cute ..

This is the cutest of all ..

A dressed up roasted duck ..

It was the centre of attraction ..

There's actually 2 of it ..

Wonder its actually a mother-daughter roasted duck going out for shopping

or is it a bridegroom and bride at their wedding dinner ..

HAHAHAHAHA

There's the melon being carved into a globe

but it only shows the Malaysia map ..

This is the dragon boat ..

The main ingredient in this dish is the sea cucumber ..

And the cost is RM300 !!

I like this dish the most .. Super creative ..

Using the crab meat to resemble beetles !

Dont u think thats creative ?

It doesnt even looks like crab meat at all !

These beetles even have wings and horn

This looks nice oso .. But no idea whats that ..

It shud b either chicken or pork ..

This is actually a prawn ..

But its made to look like a snail ..

I love going to food fair and see all these cute dishes ..

Its even nicer if they cook on the spot ..

hehehehehe

~Cheesecake in the making ~

Like i said .. I shall start flooding my blog with food

This week i made Chocolate Cheesecake ..

These are the ingredient needed .. Or should i say

These are the things that i used to make the cake ..

hahahahha .. The last time i made this was 4 yrs ago ..

This is how it looked like b4 i decorate with the chocolate chip n rice

It looked a bit like a christmas cake isnt it ?

Purposely made 1 white line to draw the 'flower' pattern

It doesnt look that nice

after i put the chocolate chip and chocolate rice ..

But its there coz i want the 'very chocolate' taste .. hahaha

If i didnt make the 'flower' pattern,

i would have covered the whole surface

with chocolate chip and rice .. then it'll b super duper chocolate ~

hehehhehe ..

Here it goes .. Into the fridge ...

Ok .. stop looking at the coke cans ..
Lets take it as if u din see it .. ok ? hahahaha

Egg Tart ~!!!

Was too bored the other day so decided to make some egg tart ..

Alex was kinda shocked when i told him i wanna make

and immediately went to Tesco to get the ingredient .. Hehehehe

Purposely went to get the mold as well .. heheheh

The tart turn out quite successful ..

This is the tart ..

Press the dough into the mold and pour the egg mixture

It took 20mins to bake 6 pieces .. Soooo long ~~!!

It took me 3 hours or so to cook 20+ pieces ..

Really rather gave money to buy than to bake myself ..

Unless i only wanted to enjoy the process ... hahahaha

This is the outcome ~!

Doesnt looks bad isnt it .. hahahaha

This is the normal egg tart ..

This is coffee egg tart .. Taste nice actually ..

Had wanted to try out kaya egg tart but gave up

coz scare too sweet .. shall try more flavor the next time i make again
